The agreement on the Grain Initiative has been extended for another 120 days. This was announced by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

Ukraine and Latvia are working to further develop and strengthen trade and economic relations. During the meeting between Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš, the parties agreed to continue the work of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Latvian Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. The ninth meeting of the Commission will be held in the near future.

As Denys Shmyhal noted at the joint briefing following the meeting, Ukraine was interested in implementing the logistics routes development project both within the Commission and at the high political level.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, held talks with Ramiro Lopes da Silva, Deputy Executive Director of the World Food Programme, and Matthew Hollingworth, WFP Representative and Country Director for Ukraine.

The meeting concerned the development of Ukraine's agricultural sector, plans to support small agricultural producers and projects to demine areas for growing grain crops.

A trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the European Commission, and Romania was held with the support of the European Union. The talks focused on coordinating efforts to improve and develop export capacities through the Ukrainian and Romanian channels of the Danube river.
