Ukraine hopes to revise tariffs for the supply of sugar in the framework of the Free Trade Area (FTA) of the CIS . This declared Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk at a press briefing after a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"Ukraine is once again raised the issue of sugar to within a Free Trade Area (with CIS) does not guess exemptions and exclusions in the supply of sugar," - said Prysiazhnyuk.

He believes that the current condition in the framework of the CIS FTA does not provide a level playing field and the market supply of products.

"The size of the imported duty for us practically overlaps opportunity to supply sugar. This also applies to caramel," - said the Minister.

We recall, group of exceptions to the Agreement on Free Trade zone of the CIS countries includes, in particular, sugar, oil, and gas. The Ukrainian government announced that Ukraine didn’t understand the position of Russia to restrict or limit the import of Ukrainian sugar.
