Ukraine to reduce tariffs for grain shipment in the ports

According to the decree of Julia Timoshenko, the Prime-Minister of Ukraine, the State administration of sea and river transport provided several meetings concerning the issue of grain cargoes transportation in the sea trading ports and recommended to all stevedore companies, operating at the territory of the ports, to avoid growing of tariffs for grain shipment, declared the press cutting service of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Ukraine.

From the beginning of the current year, the sea trading ports shipped 8.5 mln tonnes of grains. At the same time, all sea ports of Ukraine are able to ship 20 mln tonnes of grains per year. The government plans to increase elevator foundation rates, marked Mikhail Chubay, the head of the State administration of sea and river transport.

As a reminder, 13 sea ports deal with grain cargoes shipment in Ukraine.
