Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, presented the Agricultural Development Strategy for the next ten years at the International Ukraine Recovery Conference in London.

The document envisages full vertical integration, localization and import substitution of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.

"The Strategy for the development of Ukraine's agro-industrial complex provides for full vertical integration with the production of the necessary material and technical resources and means of production. It also envisages an increase in grain and oilseed production to 150 million tonnes in 10 years, as well as an increase in domestic processing and production of livestock and horticultural products. The total investment portfolio amounts to USD 57 billion," said Taras Vysotskyi.

According to the First Deputy Minister, the Strategy stipulates the restoration of irrigation for agricultural land affected by the blast of the Kakhovka HPP dam. It also provides for the gradual replacement of imported food products in the domestic market. In addition, the Strategy envisages the development of green energy - complete recycling of secondary waste and production of up to 10 billion m3 of biomethane.
