For the sake of constant improvement of crop yield and efficiency of agricultural production, NIBULON has started a sowing campaign of winter rapeseed for the harvest of 2024 using advanced technology.
Within its framework the experimental use of two separate approaches to sowing is carried out. On the one hand, the classic method of soil treatment and sowing with seed drills. On the other hand, strip-till technology is being implemented in the Mykolaiv cluster. Thus, during the past week, almost 3 thousand hectares of rapeseed have already been sown.
The strategic decision to limit the sowing areas of rapeseed in the 2024 season, concentrating them only in Mykolaiv, is based on the economic calculations and aimed at maximizing yield and rational use of resources.
We would like to remind you, that the strip-till technology involves sowing in cultivated narrow strips with a row spacing of 70 cm and using the real-time positioning (RTK) with a deviation of up to 2.5 cm. Such practice helps not only to ensure high accuracy and efficiency of technological operations, but also reduce the fuel consumption, limit moisture evaporation from the soil and prevent wind erosion.
