In 2023/2024, Ukraine exported 50.8 million tonnes of grain

According to the State Customs Service, as of June 30, 2024, the export of grain from Ukraine in the 2023/2024 marketing year amounted to 50.826 million tonnes, which is 1.6 million tonnes or 3.2% more than in the previous season of 2022/23.

Accordingly, in MY2022/23, grain exports amounted to 49.2 million tons, and in MY2021/22 - 48.4 million tons.

In June 2024, 3.9 million tonnes of grain were sold abroad (3.8 million tonsne in June 2023; 5.3 million tonnes in May 2024).

In terms of crops, the following were exported in MY2023/24:

  • wheat - 18.402 million tons (in 2022/23 MR - 16.894 million tons);
  • barley - 2.491 million tons (2022/23 MR - 2.712 million tons);
  • rye - 1.6 thousand tons (2022/23 MR - 18.0 thousand tons);
  • corn - 29.389 million tons (2022/23 MR - 29.228 million tons).

The total export of Ukrainian flour for the 2023/24 marketing year is estimated at 98.2 thousand tons (in MY2022/23 – 153.9 thousand tons), including wheat flour - 92.8 thousand tons (147.7 thousand tons).
