In 2009, Ukraine exported 24.9 mln tonnes of grains, declared Julia Timoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, on December 29.

According to the head of the government, Ukraine takes nearly third place in the world after the United States of America and countries of the European Union in the rate of grain exporters.

Besides, according to J.Timoshenko, grain reserves of the Agrarian Fund totals 1.5 mln tonnes of grains.
