A ground preparation machine developed by Kharkiv-based manufacturers has been certified. The manufacturing company has already received a certificate of conformity and a declaration of conformity, which allows it to be manufactured and used for demining.

Important advantages of domestic equipment over foreign demining machines are its simplicity of design and relatively low cost of production, maintenance and repair. At the same time, the development allows for the effective disposal of anti-personnel mines and detection of anti-tank mines. Currently, manufacturers can produce two such vehicles every month.

"We are interested in buying domestic equipment rather than importing it. Therefore, we certainly support effective Ukrainian solutions. The key task today is to scale up the production of domestic manufacturers," said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

According to her, machines such as those developed in Kharkiv will be useful for the State Emergency Service, the State Special Transport Service and private operators involved in demining in Ukraine.

Today, there are 20 demining vehicles in Ukraine, including three in Kharkiv region, and about 3,000 demining specialists. These capacities are not enough to accelerate the clearance of mines and explosives from the country's territory. Therefore, at each meeting with foreign partners, the issues of supplying the necessary equipment, training pyrotechnics, and financial support for humanitarian demining are raised.

In addition, the Government is working to establish the production of the necessary foreign equipment in our country. In particular, the Croatian corporation DOK-ING d.o.o. and the Danish HYDREMA will localise their production in Ukraine - Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers have already signed the relevant Memorandums.
