Ukraine exported 38.5 thousand tonnes of rye in the 2017/18 marketing year, which is the highest figure over the previous four seasons, APK-inform reports.
"In the 2017/18 marketing season, Ukraine supplied 38.5 thousand tonnes of rye to foreign markets, which 3.3 times exceeds relevant figures of the last marketing year and became a record index for the last four seasons," reads the report.
The largest volumes of Ukrainian rye were exported to Poland - 19.4 thousand tonnes.
"In this season it became the only country that imported rye every month," reads the report.
Also, rye was supplied to the markets of those countries that did import it from Ukraine in the 2016/17 marketing year, in particular: Tunisia (6.1 thousand tonnes), Israel (4.6 thousand tonnes) and Spain (4.6 thousand tonnes).
