In Kyiv, an expert discussion "Ukraine on the way to the EU internal market in the conditions of war – an independent expert vision" took place, in which the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Markiyan Dmytrasevich participated.

During the discussion, the participants discussed the problems that Ukraine faced due to the war with Russia, in particular, in the agricultural sector, the impact on the process of joining the EU and ways to solve them. Two studies were also presented: "Ukraine's integration into the EU internal market in wartime conditions: challenges and opportunities" and "Ukraine and the Association Agreement: monitoring of implementation 2014-2022".

As noted by Markiyan Dmytrasevich, one of the challenges faced by Ukrainian farmers is the disruption of the logistics chains of the export of agricultural products due to the blocking of sea ports by the Russian aggressor. But Ukraine is actively working with the European Commission to resolve this issue.

"Ukraine is a large agricultural country that is a reliable partner of the EU, which traditionally exports many agricultural products to the European market. And this is a mutually beneficial process," the Deputy Minister noted.

According to him, Ukraine continues to actively work on the fulfilment of its obligations in the agricultural sphere under the Association Agreement with the EU. Work is ongoing on the strategy of bringing Ukrainian agricultural policy closer to EU standards.
