Ukraine to produce good harvest of buckwheat

In the current year Ukraine has rather optimistic forecast for buckwheat production, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Kutovyi on September 8. To date, agrarians already harvested buckwheat throughout 61% of the planted areas. The forecast of buckwheat production totals 174 thsd tonnes, the Minister said.

It is expected to increase buckwheat supply on the market which should lead to further lowering of prices for buckwheat groats in the country.
