Ukrainian companies are among the ten largest producers of broilers and eggs in Europe.
Agricultural Holding "Avangard" (Avangardco), owned by Ukrainian businessman Oleg Bakhmatyuk and part of the Ukrlandfarming Group of Companies, has topped the ranking of the largest producers of chicken eggs in Europe according to WATTPoultry International magazine.
"Our company ranks first in Europe and fifteenth among the largest egg producers in the world. This is stated in the ranking by WattPoultry, which studies the global market for the production, processing, and sale of poultry products. Our products are known for their highest quality, which is why AVANGARDCO IPL exports its products to more than 40 countries worldwide. In the domestic market of Ukraine, our company supplies products to supermarket chains and retail stores, wholesale buyers, and industrial clients across the country.
For many years, we have maintained our leading position as a producer of eggs and dry egg products in Ukraine and Europe, even considering the significant asset losses in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea due to Russian aggression. We are diligently working to meet the demand of Ukrainians for quality and safe products and are expanding our export markets" the company's press center reports.
In addition to the Avangard agricultural holding, another Ukrainian company — Ovostar Union — was included in the rating of the largest egg producers in Europe, which took sixth place in egg production.
As for the world ranking, companies from the USA, Mexico, Thailand, China, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Japan occupy the 1st to 14th places in front of "Avangard".
In turn, the Ukrainian agricultural holding "MHP" topped the ranking of broiler producers in Europe. MHP ranks 8th in the world ranking of broiler producers. Companies from Brazil, the USA, China and Singapore are ahead.
