Ukraine harvested 44.26 mln tonnes of grains and leguminous plants as of November 2

According to the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine, as of November 2, 2009, agricultural economies of all varieties harvested 44.26 mln tonnes of grains and leguminous plants (including maize) in bunker weight, a decrease of 11.9% compared to the same date of 2008.

Agricultural enterprises produced 33.8 mln tonnes of grains (down 12.9%), economies of the population – 10.5 mln tonnes (down 8.6%). The average yield of agrarian enterprises totaled 30.4 c/ha (down 5.4 c/ha), economies of the population had the yield of 28.6 c/ha (down 4.3 c/ha).

Agricultural economies of all varieties sowed winter crops for the harvest-2010 throughout the areas of 9.7 mln ha (up 3.7% compared to the previous year), including winter grains – 8.2 mln ha (up 2.9%), rapeseed – 1.4 mln ha (up 8.6%).
