Ukraine: in 2009, level of profitability of agricultural enterprises of the Crimea totaled 4%

In 2009, agricultural enterprises of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) received profit on sales of agricultural products and services at the sum of 65.8 mln UAH (8.33 mln USD), with the level of profitability of 4%, a decrease of 8.2% compared to the indices of the previous year, declared the Main department of statistics of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

According to the announcement, in 2009, selling of products of plant growing and animal production brought profits at the sum of 62.2 mln UAH (7.87 mln USD) to agricultural enterprises of the Crimea. The level of profitability totaled 3.9%, a decrease of 7.8% compared to 2008 indices.

Last year, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea lowered selling volumes of grains – the level of the loss ratio totaled 6.8% (in 2008, the profitability totaled 21%).

In 2009, 379 large-scale and medium agricultural enterprises provided agricultural business activity in the Crimea, including 27 state enterprises.
