Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, took part in the presentation of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC). The Minister spoke at the panel discussion "Anti-Corruption Policy in Priority Areas: Defense, Infrastructure Rehabilitation, Digitalization, Land, Education".

He emphasized that the situation in the agricultural sector had changed significantly over the past 3 years and continued to change. This is primarily due to the introduction of legislative changes. In particular, digitalisation of processes, openness and transparency, deregulation, and simplification of administrative procedures.

"We believe that private ownership and competition are the best ways to fight corruption," said Mykola Solskyi.

He called the reform of the fisheries sector an important step, which contributes to the development of the industry and filling local budgets. In the first months of 2023, contracts worth UAH 106 million were signed through electronic auctions for the use of biological resources. In contrast, in 2022, the fee for the use of aquatic bioresources amounted to only UAH 10.2 million.
