Last week the domestic market of sunseed and soybeans followed an upward trend again. It looks quite predictable in view of aggravating competition among buyers and the desire of growers to get as high profit as possible, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Oilseed prices grew on average UAH 100-300/MT.
Export prices for sunflower seed and soybeans (FOB with May delivery) remained unchanged. Sunflower seed prices equaled USD 395/MT (seller) and USD 384/MT (buyer).
Ukrainian sunflower oil held a more stable position in the export market compared to other competitive vegoils, whose prices sank by USD 5-7/MT. Prices for the Ukrainian product (FOB for May delivery) stayed at last week’s level owing to steady strong demand from the top importer, i.e. India.
The export market supported the domestic trade in sunflower oil.
