NIBULON Finished Sowing Campaign

The company reports on the results of the spring sowing campaign and shares plans for the nearest future.

The most important thing – to meet the deadlines, completed the campaign in all regions in three weeks, despite the late start of work due to rains, which shifted the start to the middle of the third decade of April. According to the results, almost 19.5 thousand hectares of sunflower, 5.8 thousand hectares of corn and almost 3.5 thousand hectares of soybeans were sown.

"In general, in the current season we have reduced the sown areas of corn in comparison with previous years, which is related to economic expectations and calculations, and concentrated our effort on oil crops: sunflower, soybeans, rapeseed. We do not abandon wheat growing with the view of the market’s need for high-quality grain.

Even now, during the war, we invest into the best seed material and refine technology elements to improve the result. Thus, this year, through the introduction of new agents and additional treatments against diseases, were made adjustments to the chemical protection schemes, was planned and carried out root and foliar fertilization of crops" NIBULON said.

Along the sowing campaign, measures were taken for caring for winter crops, chemical treatment with grain protection agents was carried out on a total area of about 17 thousand hectares, and soil herbicides were applied on the area of more than 22 thousand hectares. Compared to last season, the timing of the sowing campaign has shifted somewhat, but it took place faster than last year, when active military operations continued against the background of field work near certain branches, particularly in Mykolaiv and Sumy regions.

The next month will be devoted to crop care and preparation for the harvesting campaign, which will begin in the third decade of June. It is time to start the forage collection campaign.
