Louis Dreyfus Commodities Acquires 5-Hectare Land Plot in Odessa

Louis Dreyfus Commodities announced today the acquisition of a 5-hectare land plot in Odessa from LLC EuroTerminal,through its wholly owned subsidiary Louis Dreyfus Commodities Ukraine. The land plot is strategically located near the multi-commodity terminal through which LLC Brooklyn-Kiev and Louis Dreyfus Commoditiesoperate in Odessa.


"This acquisition demonstrates our commitment to Ukraine and to the Black Sea as a growth region for Louis Dreyfus Commodities. We will construct a parking and sampling facility on this land plot,which will facilitate the incoming flow of trucks for the Odessa terminal, whichwe plan to develop into a state-of-the-art complex," said Cesar Soares, Head of Grains for the Europe and Black Sea region at Louis Dreyfus Commodities.

"A new step in the development of our logistic assets in Ukraine, the new land plot will also accelerate the growth of our grains export volumes," said Lazos Lamprakis, CEO of Louis Dreyfus Commodities Ukraine.

“This transaction is part of the execution of Euroterminal’s business strategy, with the development of parking, storage and handling facilities related to the transshipment of cargo through the Odessa port. We still own a 42-hectare land plot within the dry port, and will continue to operate our existing activities.
