In January 2016, Ukraine increased the exports of corn to the European Union by 84.8% compared with the index in the same month of 2015, declared the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on March 26. According to the announcement, the exports of Ukrainian sunflower oil to the EU grew by 72.5%, rapeseed oil - up 6%, sugar - up 3.2%, eggs without shells - up 2.1%.
At the same time, the export volumes of rapeseed to the EU fell by 27%, cake - down 20.4%, soybeans - down 11%, nitrogen fertilizers - down 7.2%, wheat - down 7%, and sorghum - down 3.5%.
In January, the general volume of Ukrainian exports to the EU in monetary terms totaled 950.9 mln USD (down 11.7%). The share of agricultural products in the export structure grew to 40.2% (up 26.5%), and totaled 382.6 mln USD.
