Grain From Ukraine: Fifth vessel with Ukrainian grain sails to Africa

The VALSAMITIS bulk carrier with 25,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat to Kenya and 5,000 tonnes to Ethiopia has left the port of Chornomorsk. This is the fifth vessel under the Grain From Ukraine program, which aims to provide Ukrainian grain to countries suffering from hunger.

Also, the ROYAL STAR bulk carrier, chartered by the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), left the port of Odesa. The bulk carrier will deliver 25,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat to Afghanistan.

Over the weekend, 10 vessels with 361,200 tonnes of agricultural products for Africa, Asia, and Europe left the ports of Greater Odesa. 

Since August 1,757 vessels have left the ports of Greater Odesa, exporting 21.9 million tonnes of Ukrainian food to Asia, Europe, and Africa.
