53.2 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Ukraine

As of February 2, 2023, grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 11.1 million hectares (97%) with a yield of 4.79 t/ha, 53.2 million tons of grain were threshed, including:

  • 5 million hectares of wheat (100%), with a yield of 4.05 tons/ha, 20.2 million tons were threshed;
  • 1.7 million hectares of barley (100%), with a yield of 3.47 tons/ha, 5.8 million tons were threshed;
  • 118,000 hectares of peas (100%), with a yield of 2.28 tons/ha, 269,000 tons were threshed;
  • 3.9 million hectares of corn for grain (91%), with a yield of 6.72 t/ha, 25.9 million tons were threshed;
  • 116,000 hectares of buckwheat (98%), with a yield of 1.37 tons/ha, 158,500 tons were threshed;
  • 44.7 thousand hectares of millet (99%), with a yield of 2.28 tons/ha, 101.8 thousand tons were threshed.

In addition, sunflower harvesting was carried out on an area of 4.8 million hectares, (99%) 10.5 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.19 tons/ha;

  • 1.5 million hectares of soybeans (100%), with a yield of 2.43 t/ha, 3.7 million tons were threshed;
  • 1.1 million hectares of rapeseed (100%), with a yield of 2.86 t/ha, 3.2 million tons of seeds were threshed;
  • 181.1 thousand hectares of sugar beets (100%), with a yield of 50.19 tons/ha, 9.1 million tons of sweet roots were dug up.

Agricultural companies and farmers of Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Bukovyna, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Prykarpattia, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions have finished harvesting this year's harvest of all agricultural crops.

Agricultural producers of Poltava region threshed 5.6 million tons of grain.

The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops among all regions of Ukraine is 7.08 t/ha in Khmelnytskyi region.
