In 2009, Kazakhstan harvested 20.8 mln tonnes of grains in clean weight

In 2009, the Republic of Kazakhstan harvested 20.8 mln tonnes of grains of leguminous plants in clean weight, wheat formed 81.9% from the mentioned volumes (17 mln tonnes), declared the Agency of statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 30.

In 2009, the average yield of grains in Kazakhstan totaled 12.6 c/ha, wheat – 11.9 c/ha.

Northern Kazakhstan (27% of the production volumes), Akmola (24.3%) and Kostanay oblasts (23.6%) harvested the main volumes of grains.

Eastern Kazakhstan oblast produced the largest volumes of sunflower seed (51.8%).

Agricultural enterprises grown and produced nearly 2/3 of grains and leguminous plants volumes in the country. Farming economies produced over the half of sunflower seed volumes.
