Ukraine: Crimea sowed winter crops throughout 92% of planned areas

As of November 25, the Crimea sowed winter crops throughout the area of 610 thsd ha, or 92% from the planned areas.

According to Anna Anoprienko, the head of the department of organization of production and marketing of plant growing products of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Crimea, winter grain sowing areas totaled 597 thsd ha, or 92% from the planned areas.

According to the Ministry Council, the harvest of grains in the region will lower in 2010 compared to the previous forecast, which totaled nearly 2 mln tonnes.
