Ukraine: as of the beginning of November, Crimea harvested 1.72 mln tonnes of grains

As of November 2, 2009, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) harvested 1.72 thsd tonnes of grains in bunker weight, a decrease of 3.6% compared to the same date of the previous year, declared the Main department of statistics of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

According to the announcement, agricultural enterprises of the Crimea harvested 1.21 mln tonnes of grains (down 13%), economies of the population – 505.9 thsd tonnes (up 28%). The average yield of grains totaled 25.3 c/ha, down 3.9 c/ha compared to the previous year level.

As of the beginning of November, agrarians harvested grains and leguminous plant (including maize) throughout the area of 679.1 thsd ha, which totaled 97.5% of the planned areas.

As a reminder, at the beginning of October 2009, Crimea agrarians harvested 1.63 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight, down 4% compared to the previous year level.
