Farmers in all regions of Ukraine are actively sowing rapeseed, and have started sowing winter crops for grain. As of the beginning of September, 699.7 thousand hectares of winter crops have already been sown, of which 654.9 thousand hectares are rapeseed and 44.8 thousand hectares are cereals (42.5 thousand hectares of wheat, 1.2 thousand hectares of barley and rye - 1.1 thousand ha).

Thanks to favourable weather conditions, the agricultural producers of Volyn, Poltava, Sumy and Ternopil regions have already finished sowing rapeseed. The largest rapeseed area is currently in Ternopil Oblast — 72.5 thousand ha, followed by Vinnytsia — 67.2 thousand ha and Kirovohrad Oblast — 59.4 thousand ha.

We will remind, according to the survey conducted by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the vast majority of farmers do not plan to significantly change the area sown under winter crops in 2024 compared to the previous season.
