Harvest-2023: 33.7 million tons of grain and oil crops were threshed in Ukraine

Farmers of all regions of Ukraine threshed 33.7 million tons of new harvest. As of the first week of September, 29 million 309 thousand tons of grain crops were collected, the collection area is 6,697 thousand hectares, the yield is 4.38 t/ha, including:

• 4,689,000 hectares and 22,149,000 tons of wheat were threshed (yield — 4.72 tons/ha);
• 1,504,000 ha and 5,822,000 tons of barley were threshed (yield — 3.87 tons/ha);
• 154.4 thousand hectares and 386.5 thousand tons of peas were threshed (yield - 2.50 tons/ha);
• 0.7 thousand ha and 2 thousand tons of corn were threshed (yield — 3.00 tons/ha);
• 45 thousand ha and 63.3 thousand tons of buckwheat were threshed (yield - 1.42 tons/ha);
• 33 thousand hectares and 79.4 thousand tons of millet were threshed (yield - 2.38 tons/ha);
• 271 thousand hectares and 807.2 thousand tons of other grain and leguminous crops were threshed.

Farmers collected 4,353,000 tons of oil crops, of which:

• 1,395,000 hectares (98%) and 3,999,500 tons of rapeseed were threshed, (yield - 2.87 tons/ha);
• 107.4 thousand hectares and 199.3 thousand tons of sunflower were threshed (yield - 1.86 tons/ha);
• 60 thousand hectares and 154.1 thousand tons of soybeans were threshed (yield - 2.57 tons/ha).

Sugar beets were dug up on an area of 2.6 thousand hectares, 116 thousand tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 44.96 tons/ha.

Agricultural producers of Odesa region have already threshed more than 3 million tons of grain, Vinnytsia region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kirovohrad region - more than 2 million tons of grain. The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops in Khmelnytskyi region is 6.41 t/ha.

Farmers in 18 oblasts have finished harvesting rapeseed.

As for vegetable crops in 2023, their area as a whole in Ukraine is 392,000 hectares (4.6% more than in 2022), for potatoes - 1,210,000 hectares (0.5% more, than in 2022).

As of January 1, 2023, the total area of fruit and berry plantations for all categories of farms was 193.4 thousand hectares.
