According to the State Statistics Service, stocks of cereals and pulses in Ukraine totaled 22 MMT as of October 1, 2018. This is more than 3.5% from the same date last year (21.3 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.
At the time, wheat stocks were less 12.5% at 12.3 MMT versus 14 MMT on October 1, 2017. Barley inventories dropped 4.3% from a year ago, to a bit more than 2.5 MMT against 2.4 MMT in September 2017.
Corn stocks expanded. They totaled 5.8 MMT as of the reporting date that is 90.5% more than a year ago (3.1 MMT).
According to current information of the State Statistics Service, sunseed stocks in Ukraine totaled 6736.3 KMT as of October 1, 2018 that is up 15.6% from the same date last year (5826.4 KMT). This included 3902,6 KMT held on farms (up 337.9 KMT, or 9.5% from October 1, 2017) and 2833.7 KMT at storage and processing facilities (up 572.1 KMT, or 25.3% on the year).
As of October 1, 2018, crusher soybean stocks were down 13% year-on-year at 642.6 KMT against 738.2 KMT on October 1, 2017. Rapeseed stocks as of the reporting date were higher than a year ago (517.4 KMT against 481 KMT, respectively) due to an earlier start of this year’s harvest.
