The Agreement liberalizing the carriage of freight by road has been extended until June 30, 2024. The document, which was signed in June 2022, has abolished the need for Ukrainian carriers to obtain appropriate permits for bilateral and transit transportation to the EU.
The relevant decision was reached during the first meeting of the Joint Committee of the Agreement on the Carriage of Freight by Road.
The agreement on the Grain Initiative has been extended for another 120 days. This was announced by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
In February, only 71 vessels were inspected at the entrance to the ports of Odesa for loading Ukrainian agricultural products by the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul (JCC). This is 17 vessels less than in January.
Such negative dynamics are a consequence of Russia's systemic destructive policy, which purposefully and unreasonably slows down ship inspections in Turkish territorial waters.
