The terminal of the Viterra grain trading corporation was damaged as a result of rocket attack on Mykolayiv. Alla Stoyanova, director of the department of agrarian policy of the Odessa Regional State Administration, wrote about this on her Telegram channel on June 27.

She noted that Viterra’s terminal can export as much as 1.5 million tons of vegetable oil annually. The total storage capacity is about 150 thousand tons, and the transshipment capacity of soybeans, sunflowers and wheat - about 3 million tons.

"Usually, Mykolayiv accounts for about a quarter of the country's grain supplies, and damage there may complicate the resumption of maritime trade, which was largely suspended after the invasion," A. Stoyanova wrote.

Besides, according to her, the Russian troops fired at one more big grain Mykolayiv terminal - Bunge Ltd.

A spokesman for the American trading company Bunge said there were no casualties at the plant, and the company's facilities had not been operating since the start of the war.

"For the American company "Bunge", this is the second shelling of facilities in Ukraine," A. Stoyanova added.

We will remind, earlier occupants already fired at the Mykolayiv port "Nika-Tera" and chemical plant which including produced fertilizers - Severodonetsk "Azot".

European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell called Putin’s statements about assistance and corridors “cynical disinformation” after the Nika-Tera strike: “Another Russian missile strike contributing to the global food crisis. Russian forces have destroyed the second-biggest grain terminal in Ukraine, in Mykolaiv. In light of such reports, the disinformation spread by Putin deflecting blame becomes ever more cynical.”
