Ukrainian grain export potential is 38 mln tonnes

In 2015/16 MY, Ukraine can export 38 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Kutovyi on May 20. According to him, the export volumes heavily depend on the weather conditions, and the index can reach 38 mln tonnes with the carry-over stocks at 8.5 mln tonnes.

As for the condition of winter crops areas, nearly 1 mln ha of winter crops areas were thinned and weak, but fine weather in the spring somewhat improved its condition. As a result, agrarians planned to replant the crops throughout nearly 100 thsd ha only. It is a very good indicator, added T.Kutovyi.
