Ukrainian farmers sowed 5.7 million hectares of winter crops

Ukrainian farmers have already sown 5.7 million hectares of winter crops. Winter cereals are sown in all regions, in total, almost 4.7 million hectares (90%) have already been sown. Over 1 million hectares of winter rapeseed have been planted.

In particular, it has already been sown:

• 4.1 million hectares of winter wheat (92% of the plan);
• 486.1 thousand hectares of winter barley (76%);
• 66 thousand hectares of winter rye (94%);
• 1.05 million hectares of winter rapeseed (94%).

Farmers of Volyn, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, and Chernihiv regions have finished sowing winter cereals. Agricultural producers of 12 oblasts have finished sowing winter rapeseed.

Among the leaders in terms of the amount of winter sowing for grain, farmers of the Mykolaiv region - 503.1 thousand hectares (100.5%), Zaporizhzhia region - 100.8 thousand hectares (99.9%) and Khmelnytskyi - 238.8 thousand hectares (99.5%).
