China 2010 Corn Output Likely 168 Mln Tons, Up 2.5% - CNGOIC

10.06.2010

The China National Grain and Oils Information Center said Wednesday that it expects the country's corn output in 2010 to rise 2.5% to 168 million metric tons on the back of increased planted area.

In the think tank's initial forecast for output of China's major crops in 2010, the CNGOIC said soybean output will likely decline 3.3% to 14.5 million tons due to reduced area.
