Astarta increased soybean product sales this year

Astarta Holding reported its operating results for Q1 2018. So, in the first three months of 2018, soybean oil and soybean meal sales increased 14% and 10%, respectively.

At the same time, the company’s soybean segment revenues decreased 3% to EUR 21 Ml because the average euro-denominated price went down due to a strengthening euro against the US dollar.

The export share in total soybean complex sales was 81%.

As a reminder, the current 2017/18 season witnesses a record pace of soybean crushing and soybean product exports in Ukraine. So, in September-April 2017/18, production of soybean oil reached 139 KMT with its exports up at 125 KMT; soybean meal exports totaled 265 KMT.
